Mauna Kea – Organic Farm – Volcanoes National Park – Akaka State Park – Snorkeling – Manta Rays – hilo Farmers Market – 

Trip Duration:  7 Days, July 8 – 15th Journey Cost: $3875.00 per traveler. Cost includes round trip flights, accommodation, transportation at destination, all meals (except lunch on the first day and lunch on the last day), all agreed activities, and a full-time tour director. 

Highlights: Mauna Kea State Park, Volcanoes National Park, Punalu’u State Beach, Akaka State Park, Snorkeling with Manta Rays, Big Island Farm

July 15 –  Kona (KOA) Southwest #1015 11:55 am departure direct to LAX 8:15 pm arrival

Afternoon arrival

Drive from airport – introductions and briefing

Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park

Ala Kahakai National Historic Trail / Alula Beach (turtles)

Day 2 – Saturday 9:

Parker Ranch *TBD (filming)

Evening activity – snorkelling with Manta Rays (optional)

Day 3 – Sunday 10:

Pu’uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park

Two step snorkelling location (possible swim with Dolphins)

Octopus / Ocean Rider Seahorse Farm *TBD (filming)

Day 4 – Monday 11:

Mauna Kea State Park Visitor Center 

Drive to Hilo

Day 5 – Tuesday 12:

Big Farmers Market Hilo

Akaka Falls State Park Waipi’o Valley Lookout

Big Island Farms (filming)

Day 6 – Wednesday 13

Volcanoes National Park – Kilauea (filming)

Punalu’u State Beach (black sands and turtle nesting)

Day 7 – Thursday 14

Ke Kula o Nawahiokalaniopuu – Hawaiian Immersion School *TBD (filming)

Imiloa Astronomy Center

Day 8 – Friday 1

9:30 Depart for Kona airport

I have heard nothing but good things from the kids. Cam said it was the greatest spring session the school has run yet. (Cam's mom also sent an email letting me know how appreciative she was of the consideration for Cam's dietary restrictions). Angela said it was the best possible way she could think of to wrap up her senior year at CHCH.

Loved the food options, lots of variety. A great mix of relaxation, fun, and education. Jeremy is absolutely professional, fun, attentive, engaging, and everything you would wish for in a tour director! I can not recommend using this program for school trips enough! Variety was great; amount of activities we squeezed into four days was great. I loved the challenging and fun nature of the big hike at Section 16, the whitewater rafting, and the horseback riding. It was nice to mix in some lower-energy activities that allowed the kids a bit more sense of freedom, like the hot springs, and Manitou Springs.
