Meet the Team

Jeremy Slough

Jeremy Slough –  Founder

Owner – Journey Director – Explorer – Adventure – Miles and Points Maximizer

Jeremy Slough is the founder of Immeasurable Journeys. Over two decades ago, he left for his first international trip to Europe, unaware of how much that one trip would influence his future; it fueled his passion for exploring and has now inspired him to discover 90+ countries. He has traveled to six continents and lived nearly 40% of his adult life overseas, including studying in China, Spain, New Zealand, and England.

In Guatemala, he trekked to the crest of a volcano, swam with manta rays in the Maldives, explored craters in Africa, and embarked on motorcycle adventures in the Himalayas of Nepal. His leadership and outdoor wilderness training have seen him lead hundreds of students and adults on educational, adventure and humanitarian trips. Because of Jeremy’s own journeys, he launched this travel company in 2017 to inspire others. Now, his passion is to awaken yours. Jeremy and his team do this by providing you opportunities to absorb new cultures, learn through educational experiences, and practically serve.

The surprise of travel is the gift. Maybe you’ll encounter a grizzly bear in Alaska or embark on a journey with us to El Capitan in Yosemite Valley. Perhaps you’ll be inspired to study the solar system while gazing at the Milky Way in New Zealand. If seeing an active volcano is your dream, we can make that happen, too. Whichever trip you choose, it’s Jeremy’s hope that you will take away at least one ‘Immeasurable moment’ that will stay with you for the rest of your life.

Shane Oldenburg

Washing DC Journey Director – Teacher – Climber – Ninja Warrior

My name is Shane Oldenburg and I can’t wait to travel with you! I am a history teacher/professor who lives in the D.C. area and I love to travel and study history. My wife and I both graduated from Indiana University in 2003 with degrees in education. We moved to the D.C. region and have been teaching in the area ever since. In 2008 I received my Master’s Degree in American History from George Mason University (just outside of D.C.) and began teaching college history classes in the evening while teaching high school history during the day. I also teach a Sunday School class for middle schooler’s at my church called Foundations of Faith.

When not teaching or raising our three children, I love to travel. I have led high school senior class trips to Europe and in the US. I have been fortunate enough to see nine different countries. I have also led many field trips for my high school classes to interesting locations in and around Washington D.C. I look forward to sharing the history of our great nation with you all as we explore some of the most impactful and meaningful locations in American history!

Lindsey Little

Journey Director – Journey Planer – Traveler – Yoga Instructor

Even at a very young age, Lindsey had adventure in her blood. She was fortunate enough to have parents, with an appreciation for history, brave enough to pack all of the kids in their wood paneled station wagon and travel across the United States for some hands on experience. Since then, Lindsey has been able to take many service trips across the country and world. In 2007, she moved to New Zealand to further her education in cultural studies as well as travel and serve the world with a non-profit.  She’s had the honor of leading some amazing teams of people through over 30 countries the last 15 years.

Lindsey loves educating groups on an area’s history, culture, or science as well as inspiring them to think about how they can make a difference. In addition to her love for adventure Lindsey enjoys teaching yoga, photographing people and things, life-coaching, and being an emotion code therapist. Her mission is to help others find what makes their heart come alive and encourage them to live that life to the fullest… because that is what the world needs more of!

    Jay Liles

Journey Director – Lawyer – Coach – Athlete – Traveler

Jay Liles has led groups through multiple of the above countries as well as traveled many of those places on solo and group trips.  Jay practices law in Florida and Mississippi with a focus on business law.  His main passion, however, is coaching athletes across multiple sports such as soccer, football, baseball and track.  While the “x’s and o’s” and physical training are important in sports, he helps coaches, athletes, and supporters develop into good teammates.

And as far back as 2007, Jay has lead snorkel trips in the Gulf of Mexico along with teaching surfing, skim boarding, and paddle boarding.  As a resident of Florida, Jay is our expert in beach activities.  And while he is not on the beach, he plays music.  You can catch him some days at The Red Bar in Grayton Beach, FL.  And you can listen to his music on Spotify and YouTube.

Finally, Jay is delight to be with, always happy to share his stories and listen to yours.  So when booking with Immeasurable Journeys, you not only get an experienced guide, you also get people that you will enjoy being with on your journey.

We believe in maintaining healthy global community partnerships to create change and relationships that are sustainable into the future.
