The Florida Keys are a tropical oasis within the United States that offers a wide range of incredible educational adventures. The Keys are known for their numerous marine life centers, parks, and inland attractions. We have compiled an itinerary for you that will take you through the best places in the Florida Keys, on science trips, a service trip, and you will have the opportunity to visit some of Florida’s state parks and Everglades National Park on this journey.

Day 1: Travel Day and Dolphin Encounter
Depart
Arrive in Ft. Lauderdale
Dolphin Program – Marine Rescue Center – learn and experience aquatic life in the touch tank, partake in dolphin observations, be a part of an educational squid dissection
Day 2: Service Day in True Floridian Nature
Visit John Pennekamp State Park and join in on a rewarding service project
Drop by the aquarium and learn of the interesting local habitat
Kayak through the abundant mangroves and take a glass bottom boat tour
Day 3: Florida Marine Life Exploration
Stop at Biscayne National Park, the Dante Fasell Visitors Center, and learn all about marine and coral reef ecosystems
Take part in sea grass seining and swing by the plankton lab, where you will get to see live plankton under a digital microscope
Embark on a 3-hour long boat trip and snorkel tour
Day 4: Everglades Experience
Explore Everglades National Park and take an environmental education ranger walk along the Anhinga Trail to see the abundant wildlife
Traverse the various walking trails and take a wildlife airboat ride
Participate in the afternoon and evening Ranger Programs
Day 5: Key West Extravaganza
Depart for Key West, take a potential stop at Robby’s Marina to feed the tarpon
Arrive in Key West
Visit the Southernmost Point for photos
Peruse Duval Street for the souvenirs and gift shops
Potentially see the Shipwreck Museum or the pleasant Butterfly Garden
Experience the Sunset Festival to see the art and street performers
Day 6: Departure Day
Depart for home
